Realized performance

Experience measured in realized outcomes.

Summit Natural Resources combines disciplined acquisition analysis with active ownership of producing oil and natural gas assets. Our completed investment demonstrates how focused operations and cost control can create value from an existing production base.

Case study

Value created from the producing base.

The acquisition consisted of 662 operated wells and was underwritten as a strictly PDP investment. The value-creation plan did not depend on undeveloped inventory or future drilling. Performance came from optimizing existing production, executing disciplined workovers and actively managing lease operating expenses.

01

Optimize existing production

High-grade and execute workovers across the legacy well base to support production without depending on new drilling.

03

Operate through disruption

Maintain disciplined ownership through the COVID-19 pandemic and the associated commodity-price and operating disruption.

Production performance

A flatter PDP decline profile.

Focused management of the existing well base improved the fitted hyperbolic decline profile from approximately 10.25% under the historical operator case to approximately 6.75% under Summit operations. See our production-performance framework →

Operating model

Experienced oversight. Controlled overhead.

Summit managed the portfolio through a highly efficient, experienced leadership team supported by field personnel and specialized service providers. The structure maintained direct accountability while controlling general and administrative expense.

Applied experience

The lessons carry forward.

Summit Natural Resources II applies the same core discipline to new opportunities: understand the producing base, identify the full obligation set, price risk explicitly and remain accountable for results after closing. Review our investment approach →
